NEM Adapters
Adapt Freight and Passenger car coupler shafts for NEM couplers
with NEM 362 compatible pockets. Assemblies allow smooth lateral motion
and NEM pockets which can be adjusted in height during assembly. Simple
and easy assembly. Made by Ribu (Germany). Requires removal of old
coupling shafts in most cases. See Support for examples.

Item # 85503 (RI 503)Short coupling link KKD
Due to the short coupling cinematic on the shaft, it is possible to convert older models of various manufacturer to the short coupling system.
Different height of the coupler pockets will be compensated by the well proven connecting system which is made to hold the coupler. To convert the model to Rietze KKD system it might be necessary to make some minor modifications to the model.

Item # 85504 (RI 504)Special short coupling shaft SKD
Rietze's special short coupling shaft is perfect to use in cars which have two or three axles and limited space to built in such systems. The SDK system is perfectly made to fit on freight cars. To convert the model to our KKD system it might be required to make some minor modifications to the model.

Item # 85501 (RI 501)Short coupling unit which is pre-de-coupling VKK
This system is designed for exchange of HO coupler for locomotives and cars which do have a coupler pocket according NEM 362. This system will allow you:
- To drive your trains with short coupling system on all customary de-coupling tracks, even in pushing mode.
- Easy coupling and de-coupling even on tracks with several following switches.
- It works also if the weight of the car is less one gram and driving in formation even so, it will not de-couple up- and down hill as well as on track joints.
